Locally grown organic vegetables are available in many places. You can buy them in the High Street shops and also the Farmers Market, or you can enjoy a trip into our glorious Devon countryside and buy direct from one of the many farm shops in our area.

In the southwest, we probably have more individual varieties of cheese than any other area in the country. Non-pasteurised cheese, full fat cheese, hard cheeses, soft cheeses, goat's cheese, sheep's cheese, cheese with herbs...

Devon farms are traditionally renowned for rearing top quality beef and lamb, and the fertile red soils of the vale of Crediton produce the best grass to rear the livestock.

Our butchers. and many of the restaurants and inns, actively promote locally sourced beef, lamb and pork, reared on Devon farms, because they know it’s the best.

Why not visit a vineyard or winery when you are in Devon? Our local climate is ideal for several varieties of grape and produces excellent wine.

Devon cream provides more than one "taste of Devon" It is part of our heritage, and a way of life down here in the westcountry. When you come to Devon you have just got to have a Devonshire cream tea with fresh scones, strawberry jam and clotted cream mmm..
